Chasity Chenile Vaughan "C.C."

Chasity Chenile Vaughan, affectionately known as "C.C." was born on February 21, 1982 to Sherell Vaughan Whitehead and the late Floyd Parks, Sr. C.C. departed this life on Wednesday March 10, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina. C.C. was a graduate of Hertford County High School- Class of 2000. After graduating from Hertford County High School, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, she furthered her education at Louisburg College, in Louisburg, North Carolina and obtained an Associates Degree in General Studies on May 4, 2002. After obtaining her Associates Degree from Louisburg College, C.C. attended Chowan College, in Murfreesboro, North Carolina and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, but C.C. didn't stop there. C.C. then attended Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia, and obtained a Master of Arts in Sport Medicine on May 5, 2007. C.C. was always the life of the party, kind-hearted and truly a giving person - who loved to dress and flash her large smile that everyone was drawn to. Additionally, C.C. was a huge sports fan - sharing a love for both basketball and football - forever representing the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers and North Carolina Tarheels. Her favorite basketball player was Kobe Bryant and always followed a discussion regarding Kobe stating, "Rest In Peace to the boy Kobe." Not only was C.C. an avid basketball and football fan, C.C. was known for excelling in basketball, which lead her to academic scholarships, across seas to Barbados and basketball coaching opportunities. C.C was employed by RDU Airport and DTLR. C.C. leaves to cherish her memories: Mother, Sherell (Sharon) Vaughan Whitehead and Father, Robert Whitehead of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; Sisters, Wanda Wright (Ray) of Mapleton, North Carolina, Debbie Parks of Richmond, Virginia and Lehoma Grant (Julian) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Sons, Namier Jordan of Raleigh, North Carolina and Messiah Rodgers of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; Aunts, Essie Britt (Sherman) of Cofield, North Carolina, Louise Patterson (Fred) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Edna Lavern Vaughan and Kim Vaughan of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, Deborah Vaughan of Raleigh, North Carolina and M. Jordan (Robert) of Mapleton, North Carolina; Uncles, Horace Vaughan, John Vaughan and William Vaughan of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; five nephews, three nieces and a host of cousins, friends, relatives and colleagues. Last but not least, C.C. leaves to cherish her memories; Cousins who are more like Siblings, Corissa Jordan of Murfreesboro, North Carolina and D'Issac Jordan of Raleigh, North Carolina; Special Friends, Marion Cooper Cumbo of New Bern, North Carolina and Marilyn Eason of Raleigh, North Carolina. C.C. is preceded in death by her Father, Floyd Parks, Jr.; Grandmother, Edna Mae Vaughan; Aunt, Wilhelmina Taylor; and Uncle, Willie Vaughan.
