Linda Teagle

Linda Teagle was born on June 28, 1948, to the late Lorenzo M. Hardy and late Paulynn Hardy Johnson. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Linda was the oldest of 13 children. At an early age she was baptized in the Catholic faith at Saint Elizabeth Church of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was educated in the school system and graduated from Hallahan Catholic school in 1966. On June 22, 1968, Linda married the love of her life Leon Brenston Teagle (Brent), who she had known from early childhood. To this union one child, Stephanie Teagle, was born. Linda, in her earlier years enjoyed bowling, going to the beach, playing board games and playing in her pinnacle club. She enjoyed her weekly card games with family and friends. Linda was employed with Strawbridge and Clothier for 25 years, until her disability retirement, due to her fight with MS. She enjoyed listening to her oldie's music like the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Supremes and she LOVED Michael Jackson. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughter, granddaughter and the newest member, her great-granddaughter. Anyone who knew Linda would say she was very kind and sweet but she would also tell you about yourself if necessary. She was a strong woman who could talk to you about anything, but she would also listen and give you her honest opinion. Linda leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted husband, Leon Brenston Teagle (Brent) of 54 years, her daughter Stephanie Teagle (Alexander), her granddaughter Bryanna Teagle and her great- granddaughter Dakota Teagle, who she affectionately called Sweetie Pie; her brothers Steven Hardy (Karla), George Hardy (Leslie) Lorenzo M Hardy Jr., Troy Hardy and Calvin Hardy (Vanessa); her sisters, Lynette Jones (Rodney), Sylvia Ferguson (Greg), Sandra Williams (Mark), Wanda Robinson (David), Robin Williams (George), Sheila Mintz (Jay) and Gertrude Green (Carlton) all of Pennsylvania and Maryland; her devoted sisters-in-law, Thomasine Peterson, Rose Mitchell, and Lillian Edwards of North Carolina, and Pamela Teagle of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two special friends who were like sisters to her, Anita Culbreath of Pennsylvania and Rosette Green of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
