Calvin Scott Hall, Sr. of Winton, NC died on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Autumn Rehabilitation Center in Suffolk, VA. Calvin was born on March 12, 1939 to the late Thomas Henry Hall and Mattie Cordell Brown. Calvin was a former mayor of Winton, NC, former Chief of the Meherrin Indian Tribe, and member of Winton Rescue Squad. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Barbara Simmons Hall; daughter, Belinda Hall; sons, Calvin, II., and Gordon Hall; sister, Rhonda Sears; and brothers, Kenneth Hall and Oliver Sears, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Philippi Baptist Church on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
