Curtis McKinley Smith "Pep"

Curtis McKinley Smith, known as "Pep" was born on November 5, 1957, to the late Willie Lee Smith and Rosetta Woodson Smith. He was a native of Hertford County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, North Carolina Curtis attended the public schools of Hertford County in North Carolina. He worked at the Newport News Ship Yard in Newport News Virginia and later started doing construction work with Matthew's Construction. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Lee "T-Bone" Smith. Curtis leaves to cherish his fond memories: his son; Michael Smith (Wendy), of Como North Carolina; one granddaughter; Triniqua Smith; two; grandsons, Jakel Smith and Marquis Clark of Murfreesboro North Carolina;.two great-grandsons; Marquis Clark Jr. and King Johnson of Raleigh North Carolina; one sister; Dianne"Ann" Smith; one brother; John Anthony "Funny Bunny" Smith of Como North Carolina; four aunts; Laura Smith of Como, North Carolina, Lucy Griffin of Norfolk, Virginia, Addie Felton and Laura Bernard (William) both of Chesapeake, Virginia; one uncle; Gilbert Walker (Ramonia) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
