Darin Demetrius Vaughan Sr., affectionately known as Pokey, was born to Jimmy Majette and the late Gwendolyn Lassiter on September 25, 1973. On October 14, 2019 he peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home. If you knew Pokey you had no choice but to love him. He kept a smile on his face that would brighten up a room. He was always full of laughs and jokes, and had a nickname for everybody. In his free time he enjoyed installing systems in cars and shining up his Mustang, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Darin was proceeded in death by his mother; Gwendolyn Lassiter, stepmother; Clarine Majette, and sister; Sherwander Boone. Left to cherish his memories are his five children; Darin Vaughan, Jr and Kha’Vasia Vaughan both of Greensboro NC, Quashonda Vaughan of Raleigh, NC, Alayzia Boone of Tarboro NC, and Miracle Vaughan of Sunbury, NC. His four grandchildren; Skylar Bryant, Nehemiah Vaughan, Jah’Layzia Armstrong and Na’Kiyah Evans.His grandmother; Bessie Lucille Vaughan of Murfreesboro, NC. His father; Jimmy Majette of Conway, NC. His two brothers Kenneth Casterlow (Triveka) of Winton, NC and Matthew Casterlow of Murfressboro, NC and one sister; Birttany Majette of Conway; his Godmother; Kathy Everette of Murfreesboro, NC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
