Mary Virginia Watford

August 25, 1941 - February 9, 2022

Mary Virginia Bunch Watford, better known to her family and friends as "Kate", was born to the late Mary "Ham" Bunch on August 25, 1941. She gained her wings on February 9, 2022. Mary was born and raised in Colerain, North Carolina. Later on in life, she would marry the late Dennie Watford. She worked at the sewing factory for many years, until it closed. She then worked on the farm until she retired. She enjoyed attending family functions as well as traveling places with her family, whom she loved dearly. No matter what she endured in life, she never complained and always had a smile on her face. She loved helping people. She will be missed dearly by so many. .Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie L. Watford; one sister, Shirley Keyes; two brothers, Frank Nowell and Robert Nowell; and one son, Ronnie L. Bunch. Mary leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Marvin "Tang" Nowell, and Diary Nowell; three daughters, Vickie Cherry, Melissa Phillips, and Shirley Bunch; four grandchildren, Tara Miller, Chadwick Bunch, Shaunteca Freeman, and Tarlecia Freeman; three great-grandchildren, Keshaun Taylor, Terrick Batton, and Romel Bunch, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
