Nancy P Eley

Deaconess Nancy Pauline Tann Eley was born on December 1, 1929 in Northampton County, North Carolina to the late Paul and Rosa Sandford Tann. She was called home to be with the Lord in the late afternoon, Monday, June 10, 2019. Deaconess Nancy Pauline accepted Christ early in life; joined Parker’s Grove Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member, serving in any ministry of the church where she was needed until her death. She received her education in the public schools Northampton and Hertford Counties, N.C. She was employed by Chowan College for many years and later, Town & College Cleaners until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Herman Lee Eley, Sr., her three children, Elinor Rose Eley, Herman Lee Eley Jr., Delores Lorraine Eley Stephenson, one brother, Floyd Tann Sr. and two sisters, Olivia Clarine Cooper and Nellie Bynum. Left to cherish her memory are two sons; Herbert Eley (Andrea) of Riverdale Georgia. And Ronnie Eley of Troy, North Carolina. Three daughters, Sylvia Eley Moore (Richard), Sandra Eley Jenkins (Ricky), and Darlene Eley Wiggins (Reginald) all of Murfreesboro, North Carolina;23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren; three sisters in-law, Dorothy Bishop, Willie Eley and Dorothy Eley; three brothers in-law, Horace Eley, Oris Eley, and Stanley Eley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
