This is the story of Paula Manley Branch affectionately known as “Quita”. Paula was a wonderful fun spirited loving person. Paula’s story started on December 20, 1971 in Ahoskie, NC. She was the only child born to Gerald and Effie D. Manley. She attended Hertford County Public Schools where she gained many lifelong friends. At an early age she professed her love for Christ and joined Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Here she served as the Vice President of the Junior Usher Board. She later met and married the love her life Emmett Branch on September 26, 2008. To this union they were blessed with a miracle, Amber Mackay Branch. “Amber Bug” as she was lovingly called, was Quita’s heart and joy. She was employed at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital as a pre-registration coordinator in the admission department. Her fun-loving spirit and beautiful personality became contagious to all who encountered her. Her life was as beautiful as a flower and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She later joined and became an active member of St. John Community Christian Church in Eure, NC until her passing. Paula was very supportive of the dance ministry and known as the mom on the move. She was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. Loved ones that cleared the path for Paula are: Mother, Effie D. Manley; Grandparents Lafayette and Ella Mae Deloatch, Joe and Eunice Manley. Loved ones that will miss Paula until they meet again are: husband, Emmett Branch; father, Gerald Manley (Cynthia); daughter, Amber Branch; bonus sons Kwame Branch and Deshay Skinner; brother, Dudley “DJ” Manley (April); father-in law, Thomas Branch; grandson, Ka’mari Branch; three uncles, Donald Deloatch, Howard Vaughan, and Bernard Manley (Geraldine); a great aunt, Shirley Ward; two godchildren, Princess Majette, and Andria Boone; and a very special cousin, Joseph Deloatch; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Paula’s story does not end on May 9th with her passing. Her memories and fun-loving spirit will continue to dwell in all those she leaves behind. Paula a beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend was loved, and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Nebo Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, NC.
